Egyptian visual and digital artist Farah Fouad was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, where her journey with art actually began. Those early art classes in school were the main spark that ignited her passion for drawing. Later, she moved to Egypt to pursue her university studies in Biotechnology. This transition between cultures, combined with her scientific background, is what shaped the surrealist perspective she has today.

Farah's artistic journey bridges two worlds: the scientific depth of her background in Biotechnology and the limitless realm of Surrealism. By blending high-detail digital techniques with symbolic narratives, Farah creates immersive spaces between reality and imagination exploring themes of identity, time, illusion, and inner conflict through detailed and expressive compositions.

Artist's Statement

"My journey is a unique intersection of science and imagination. My academic background in Biotechnology and Genetics has profoundly influenced how I perceive life at its most fundamental level—from the intricate structure of a cell to the complexity of a DNA strand.
While science explains the 'how' of life through chemistry and logic, Digital Art became my sanctuary for exploring the 'why' through boundless expression. I was drawn to Digital Art because it allows me to merge the precision I learned in the lab with modern technology, creating surreal worlds that transcend physical boundaries. I use digital art to give a voice to a reality that is often unseen.
The Woman is the central heart of my work. To me, the woman is the ultimate symbol of life, resilience, and transformation. My art explores the female experience—her strength, her vulnerabilities, and her connection to the natural world.
Symbolism is my visual language; because of my studies in nature and genetics, I see metaphors in everything—roots represent ancestral resilience, and flowers symbolize the blossoming of the human psyche. Every element within my compositions carries intention, and every colour is carefully chosen to reflect a hidden emotion or layered idea. My art aims to explore deep human emotions in a way that feels both organic and otherworldly." - Farah Fouad
