Egyptian artist Abeer Adel Moussa was born in Desouk in the governorate of Kafr El-Sheikh. She spent her childhood in the city of Alexandria, where she currently also lives. The rural and coastal environments have been a source of her inspiration since childhood when she was drawing trees and roses, birds, pets and other animals on the seashore of Alexandria.
In 1989, Abeer Adel Moussa joined the Faculty of Fine Arts in Alexandria to refine her artistic talent by studying art history and techniques. She specialised in public sculpture and learned all disciplines, no matter if two-dimensional or three-dimensional sculpture, working with all kinds of materials as well as ancient, modern and contemporary techniques. In her experiments, she combined different raw materials in her sculptures.
During her master's degree studies, Abeer learned the latest techniques of using light sculpture and the impact of light in the art of sculpture. For her doctorate studies, she pioneered combination sculptures with holography, mated raw materials and reused pre-processed materials in aesthetic sculptures.
