Heidi Galil was born in Cairo in 1979. She has been perfecting her skills in arts since 2018. Originally an architect, Heidi blended her architectural experience with her artistic skills and love for colours. She uses several techniques and mediums such as oil and acrylic on canvas and wood.

Heidi's passion for God’s nature, human relationships especially motherhood, love for birds and abstract contemporary art is clearly visible in her paintings.

"Looking back at my work, I can say that despite that each painting is different in its content, yet they all refer to a common idea. We all need The Higher Power, need to feel love and support by someone.
A baby needs his mother’s love, a wife needs to feel her husband’s affection, a husband needs his wife’s support, friends need each other, we need to have an idol to look up to, we need God, His Love, His support, His light, someone we can open our hearts to and feel free with, who understands us better than we understand our ownselves. It is in this that we feel safe and free at the same time.
With this thought in mind you will surely notice these feelings in my paintings. A common figure are the birds which are the result of these feelings and symbolise freedom." - Heidi Galil
